Ordinance Establishing Organization For Civil Preparedness

LEGAL NOTICE
TOWN OF EAST WINDSOR

The following ordinance was adopted at a Special Town Meeting duly warned and held on April 3,1974:

ORDINANCE NO. 74-5
ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING ORGANIZATION FOR CIVIL PREPAREDNESS

BE IT ORDAINED: Pursuant to the revisions of Section 28-7 of the Connecticut General Statutes, there is established in the Town of East Windsor a local Organization for Civil Preparedness in accordance with the State civil Preparedness Plan and Program. The authority for such Organization for Civil Preparedness shall not supersede the regular Police Department of the Town of East Windsor, or the Fire Departments in the Town of East Windsor.  The local Organization for Civil Preparedness shall consist of an Advisory Council and a Director.  The Selectmen of the Town of East Windsor shall appoint the Director and shall also appoint members of the Advisory Council.
The Director of the Organization for Civil Preparedness shall prepare regulations entitled Town of East Windsor Civil Defense Preparedness Regulations.  These Regulations, when approved by the Advisory Council, shall be submitted to the Selectmen for their approval.  Upon adoption by the Selectmen and filing with the Town Clerk of the Town of East Windsor, the Regulations shall become binding regulations of the Town of East Windsor.

Said ordinance shall become effective fifteen (15) days after the publication thereof.
