Town of East Windsor
The following ordinance was adopted at a special town meeting duly warned and held on February 13, 1974:
ORDINANCE CONERNING NIGHT TIME PARKING AND ALSO SNOW REMOVAL IN THE TOWN OF EAST WINDSOR
BE IT ORDAINED: 1. (a) There shall be no parking on any public highway or designated municipality owned, leased or operated off street parking area or lot in the Town of East Windsor between the hours of 1:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. from November 1, through March 31, nor shall any vehicle be parked in any area that is a temporary “No Parking” area as designated by the Traffic Authority, for the removal of snow or ice.
(b) Any vehicle parked in violation of the provision of Section
1. (a) may be towed away at the owner’s expense if necessary to allow the removal of snow or ice. Anyone violating this Ordinance shall be fined Two ($2.00) dollars.
2. Each such owner or operator within seven days of the time when such notice was attached to such vehicle shall pay to the East Windsor Town Clerk the penalty for and in full satisfaction of such violation.
3. The failure of such owner or operator to make such payment within such time limit shall render such owner or operator subject to double the penalty provided for such violation.
4. Nothing herein contained shall be construed as a limitation on the power of the Circuit Court to impose penalties as provided in the General Statutes of the State of Connecticut.
5. No person shall deposit any snow or ice onto the traveled portion of any public highway. Any person found guilty of violation of this section shall be fined Two ($2.00) Dollars.
6. Sections 1 through 5 of this Ordinance shall apply to any traveled way within the Town of East Windsor which is paved, plowed and/or otherwise maintained by the Town of East Windsor.
The foregoing ordinance shall become effective fifteen (15) days after publication thereof.
